Exam checkpoints

Internal marks are your safety net.

  1. Internal 1

    By 30% course coverage

40 marks · close the first gaps
  2. Internal 2

    By 60% course coverage

40 marks · connect the concepts
  3. Internal 3

    By 90% course coverage

40 marks · revisit weak areas
  4. Annual exam

    100% of the course

Full course · theory and practical

For theory-bearing subjects: three internals of 40 marks each; the best two assessments count under MSVE 2016. Use your university’s current dates and marking scheme.

Your subject playbook

Know what to learn. Know how to revise.

Veterinary Anatomy

Focus on Bones and joints; regional anatomy; histology and embryology.

Try this Learn a structure with its location, relations and function. Redraw it, then identify it on a specimen or slide.

A beautiful diagram with no labels is still an expensive doodle.

Veterinary Physiology

Focus on Blood, cardiovascular and respiratory function; digestion; renal, endocrine and reproductive physiology.

Try this Explain each process as a sequence with feedback. Connect the practical observation to the mechanism it demonstrates.

If you cannot explain the feedback loop, rereading the arrow will not help.

Livestock Production Management

Focus on Species-wise husbandry, housing, feeding management, handling and farm records.

Try this Compare species and life stages in a small table. Link each management practice to what you observe on the farm.

Do not leave LPM for the evening before the practical.

A week that works

Suggested rhythm. Adjust it to your timetable.

  1. After class

Close the notes and explain one process or redraw one labelled structure. Check what you missed.

  2. After practicals

Finish observations while you remember the specimen, technique or farm visit.

  3. At the weekend

Revisit older diagrams and one LPM comparison before planning the next week.

Small habits, big saves

  • Keep one main set of notes per subject; add corrections there instead of starting another notebook.
  • Look at past professional papers for format and topic coverage, not a promise of repeated questions.
  • Keep attendance and practical records up to date; they are not last-night tasks.

Study advice, not an exam rule. A first-person account by Dr. Bhupender (AIEEA Animal Science 2022 Rank 1) informed the concise-revision and error-review habits; his PG strategy is not a professional-exam blueprint.

Before the final stretch

  1. Map the course

Tick off theory units and practical competencies against your university outline.

  2. Practise the format

Write timed answers with labelled diagrams; rehearse identification and viva explanations.

  3. Repair weak spots

Use a short list of recurring mistakes, then revisit the original explanation.

Your skeleton has enough bones. Your folder does not need 47 versions.
